12 tips/suggestions for selling records at fairs:

1. Clean the vinyl and record sleeves. Store records in clear outer sleeves
2. Price records realistically for grade
3. Provide details of vinyl grading/matrix/pressings on outer sleeve for certain records
4. Section dividers for storage boxes by genre and for artists if appropriate. Keep albums in boxes by artist in alphabetical order - much easier to find a record quickly that a potential buyer enquires about
5. Don't overfill display boxes
6. Have a 'bargain' box of records or 1/2 price box of records
7. Payment by cash for record sales is usual at fairs. Offer Paypal if customer prefers
8. Be prepared for bargaining on prices with some buyers!
9. Get to the venue promptly and set up table quickly. Other sellers will visit your table to buy
10. Don't pack up and leave early. Opportunities for sales late in the day and possible last minute deals with other sellers
11. Offer carrier bags to customers for their records. Have new clear outer sleeves for records if buyers ask
12. Do it all over again and again! Build up relationships with buyers and other sellers
