On this segment of The Henry Ford's Innovation Nation, Adam Yamaguchi meets with Sam Cossman, CEO of Qwake Technologies and one of the innovators behind the C-Thru firefighter helmet.

Current thermal imaging technology can have limitations for firefighters, so the folks at Qwake came up with an idea to help firefighters see better and move more efficiently through dense smoke. The result was C-Thru, which combines high-speed thermal imaging cameras with augmented reality (AR) optics, and helps firefighters see the shapes, contours, and hot spots of a room filled with smoke.
