back on the movie grind I was able to watch Abigail the latest Twist on the horror genre first things surprisingly good I had a blast watching this kind of genre smashing of a heist movie with monster movie elements story-wise for uh viewers who don't know but this story follows a group of criminals kidnapping a 12-year-old girl holding her for ransom until they find out who she truly is I absolutely love the unexpected and cool premise along with the kind of amusing group dynamic nothing like the I movies like that kind of group dynamic but it does bring forth the comedic elements I just wish that the comedy was stronger or punchier Alicia Weir the little monstrosity at the middle of this movie was easily the standout I love the range of her shy reserved and then chaotic Megan like performance I mean it's weird it's funny it's creepy it's campy it's all of that my biggest Bugaboo is the third act a lot happens a lot is crammed in there making the first half of the movie kind of feel slow
