A coworker got one of those 3-D printers and asked if I wanted to try working with a 3D printed lure. The design is a squarebill crankbait with some pockets inside for weight and/or rattles. A neighbor cut open a shotgun shell which had stainless steel BB's inside so I used those to enhance the lures noise and weight. I messed up a little trying to pop bubbles in the epoxy with a lighter. I held the lighter on it for too long and it burned a bit. But I think this mistake gives the lure a sort of realistic look...or that's what I keep telling myself.
