►With over 80,000 on the odometer, you're BMW likely needs an engine mount replacement. As you drive along in your turbocharged 535i, your engine wants to twist in the engine bay. The engine mounts are there to prevent that from happening, but their rubber and hydraulic-filled bushings wear out over time, leading to excess movement. The worn mounts will let the engine shake under acceleration and deceleration, causing a noticeable clunk and shock through the chassis. While uncomfortable, it can also cause damage to the engine and components around it, so be sure to replace them as soon as you can.
