2025 The design, engines, and other details of the latest ICE version of the Audi Q5. The German carmaker Audi has had great success with its Q5, a high-riding crossover that routinely outsells every other model in Ingolstadt's lineup. To keep things interesting, though, the next Q5 has been seen in prototype testing with a chic new design that attempts to sustain the popularity of the present model. Similar to its A4 showroom counterpart, it will also be the final Q5 with an internal combustion engine until the company fully switches to battery-electric drivetrains by the end of the decade. Regarding the design, technology, and drivetrains of the Q5, let's investigate everything we now know. In an attempt to maintain foot traffic in its showrooms, Audi has kept the Q5's recipe straightforward, with unpretentious yet appealing appearance. With powerful vertical side intakes and wedge-effect LED headlights (instead of weird-looking split headlamps), a muscular new front end is featured.
With its sharper roofline and sporty sheet metal covering, the side profile has a visually attractive appearance. The A6 e-tron series of concept cars served as a major inspiration for the lower door scallops and paneling. Well done! The full-width tail lamp cluster with dynamic welcome lighting, dual exhausts, and sharply sloped rear window are all part of the rear-end design. More technology and larger screens than previously will be available in a completely renovated cabin. It will also include futuristic lines, flush-mount touch displays, and a strong emphasis on premium craftsmanship in its interior design, which is reminiscent of the next A4 and e-tron GT as well as maybe the new Q5 e-tron, which is exclusive to the Chinese market (see picture above). The Q5's redesigned MLB Evo platform, which it shares with the future B10 A4, also allows it to use a plug-in hybrid powertrain in addition to a variety of 48-volt mild hybrid gasoline and diesel engines. The modern 2.0-liter TFSI engine powers all four wheels of the mildly hybridized gasoline vehicle using a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The plug-in hybrid generates 362 horsepower (266 kW) total system output from a 2.0-liter inline-4 with a 141-hp electric motor and an 11.3-kWh lithium-ion battery. Regretfully, water cooler rumors indicate that the warm-up SQ5 will once again handle performance tasks in the absence of an RS Q5 variant that rivals the BMW X3 M.
