When I started woodworking a friend asked me to build them a Chessboard. 8(ish) years later I'm finally getting around to building an extra one. Last time Lati was on sale at Woodcraft I made myself a Wenge and Lati chessboard that turned out beautiful. Chessboards are a great beginner/intermediate project.

I have not tried to tackle chess pieces yet, I got these from Chess House.
