This is not the right way to obey your parents. When you get into a marriage it is difficult to honour parents and spouse. Marriage is hardwork and it requires constant communication and honouring everyone involved.

Obedience to parents doesn't mean trampling rights of the spouse. Try your best to play the role of a peace maker without tolerating oppression.
