17th March 2024: A true icon of the British Glam Rock era has sadly passed away. Steve Harley frontman and founder of the iconic 70's band "Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel" had still been touring all the way up until late last year when he was diagnosed with cancer...

Steve loved music with a passion and played on until the end and we as fans loved his music and sound with a passion too and say a big thank you to him for being a very special soundtrack to our youth and beyond. RIP Mr Harley, your sound and legacy will live on forever...

Ah memories...76 was the year we had something my auld Grannie used to tell me about and we always thought she was just making it up, twas about a big ball of fire in the sky that used to appear once a year when she was a child and she called it the "Sun" !!!

Turns out she wasn't fibbing after all as in 76 that big ball of fire in the sky did make an appearance and I recall it turned all us peelly wally Scots who got caught out in it a deep shade of lobster red and covered us in blisters (made a wee change from our usual skin colours that ranged from milk bottle white to shades of blue n purple)...

They even wrote a song about it... this one...

So for all of us Scots out there who recall the year of 76 then I bring you this reminder of the year that Calamine Lotion sales want through the roof and sweeping up piles of dried out flakey skin was part of growing up that year... (Global Warming my aunt Nellies rear end, we haven't seen the damned thing since)... 😵
