The actress Linda Christian (born Blanca Rosa Walter; 1923–2011) was born in Mexico. Her mother had German, Spanish, and French ancestry, while her father, of Dutch origin, served as the executive director of the major oil and gas company Royal Dutch Shell.
During her younger years, her aspiration was to delve into the field of medicine. However, following her victory in a regional beauty contest, she opted to embark on a journey in the realm of acting. Her initiation into the world of cinema occurred in the 1943 Mexican film "Soul Rock." Not long after, Linda encountered the Hollywood luminary Errol Flynn, establishing a romantic connection. Through Flynn's assistance, she transitioned to Hollywood and successfully obtained a seven-year contract with MGM.
