Paul Mescal had his breakout role in the miniseries "Normal People" in 2020. And by 2023 he had his first Oscar nomination for his heartbreaking performance in "Aftersun." Mescal’s work is an examination of masculinity and mental health. He’s drawn to complex, and not always good, characters who start conversations about serious problems in our society through deeply personal stories. This video discusses his work, through projects "Normal People," "Aftersun" and "God's Creatures."
