Mercedes-Benz believes its new EQS sedan will redefine the all-electric luxury vehicle segment as it competes against the Tesla Model S Plaid+ and the Lucid Air Grand Touring (which both won't release until 2022). When it arrives at dealerships in the fall of 2021, the EQS will be the first long-range EV from Mercedes available to buy in the US, beating out the EQC compact SUV, which has been delayed indefinitely. There’s a lot riding on the EQS and the company’s high-stakes effort to define the luxury EV market. The most notable feature of the EQS is its eye-popping 56-inch Hyperscreen with the company’s MBUX infotainment system.
