What The Sparrow Academy Means For Season 3

We may not have had a lot of superhero action in 2020 but at least our most reliably unreliable family of supers dropped a new season on Netflix this passed summer. The Umbrella Academy, perhaps Netflix’s oddest show to date, delivered exactly what everyone didn’t know they needed. A fun, zany superhero adventure full of time travel, mischief and plenty of family fights. This all led to possibly the biggest shocker the series has dropped yet. The reveal that the present day now has a new, much more successful Academy in town. The Sparrow Academy!

So who exactly are these Sparrows and how will they stack up against our heroes? Well, we’ll go through everything we know about the new team and speculate on how they’ll fare against the Hargreeves kids we know and love. Will they prove themselves to be the better family unit? Probably not. Will they prove themselves to be the better superheroes? Again, that seems unlikely. Will they put aside their differences to make friends with their new rivals and save the world? Now that is a distinct possibility!

We’ll also give a prediction about what this year’s apocalypse might be! I mean...Vanya...it’s always Vanya, right? Vanya is always the bomb. At least this go around our Hargreeves has a whole other group of Hargreeves kids to help diffuse her! I’m not sure if that’s better or worse...

So let’s dive right into season three’s big story, The Umbrella Academy vs. The Sparrow Academy!
