There was a VATSIM event so I decided to join in and test my skills. Departed Denver Int'l Airport as United 1252 on Rwy 25 heading to Las Vegas. There was full ATC coverage but the ATC for Los Angeles center signed off prior to entering their airspace. However it was good to get the clearance, push & start, taxi and takeoff. Handed over to Denver Departure and finally to Denver Center. Overall a good experience.
