In the 4 years that I've had my Glowforge laser cutter, I've upgraded the ventilation system twice. I started with the original setup venting out of my window and upgraded to their portable filter, which made a big difference. Now, I've upgraded to an AC Infinity S6 Inline Fan setup that performs very well and is very quiet.

Here's how I setup the inline fan for my Glowforge and below are links to all the materials I used for the project. For disclosure, these are affiliate links which means I earn a small amount from each purchase at no additional links to you. This is how I support this channel and purchase materials for my projects. Thanks for your support!

Inline Fan Materials:
AC Infinity S6 Inline Fan: https://amzn.to/3vLj3mh
4" Flex Duct: https://amzn.to/3nwvOxf
Foil Tape: https://amzn.to/3GqmALG
Stainless Steel Duct Clamps: https://amzn.to/3Cks7B4
6" to 4" Duct Reducer (Get 2 if you need to reduce to a 4in duct at your window, but only 1 if you can go out of your window with a 6in duct for maximum airflow): https://amzn.to/2ZqyUuT

If you're going with a setup like mine where you want to split your duct, I purchased these additional materials:

4 Inch Duct Splitter: https://amzn.to/3mcVCPv
4 Inch Backdraft Damper: https://amzn.to/3BhP3Q3
Alternate to the 4inch backdraft is this manual blast gate shut off that you need to close and open yourself: https://amzn.to/3CmBKyY
