I needed to replace the electrical strain relief on the pool pump. It had broken off, I believe when the pump was removed when the pool was closed. But, it's about 20 years old, maybe even more, so I can understand. Unfortunately, this did not go as planned. First, my day was delayed quite a bit, I wanted to get started on this sooner. But there were other things to attend to.

It was hard enough trying to find a suitable piece for this pump. The replacement that I got was not correct. But I had to make do with what I had. There was a lot of improvising, and a lot of haste in this video. There are many things I could have done to make this even better. But it was one of those things that I just needed done NOW. I am sure I will have to revisit this in the future. Especially since the wires in the back of the pump motor have cracked insulation and are basically "cooked" from all of the years running. The pump needs an entire new cord that I will have to custom make, and the right connector. It appears I probably could have used a different kind of connector as well, I just tried to replace what was already there.
