⚡Show Notes & Resources ⚡
Warm compresses are often recommended as a dry eye treatment early on for the management of evaporative dry eye disease, often as a result of Meibomian gland dysfunction. Warm compresses (also known as hot compresses) are used to melt rancid, solidified oils trapped in the eyelids. This allows for the oils to run smoothly out of the oil glands and allow for new oils to be produced.
The Tear Restore is a newly designed hot compress for dry eyes. It features a warming eye pack that allows for the users eyes to remain open during the treatment process. The main advantage the Tear Restore offers as a warm compress is the convenience of doing a hot compress while still being able to see and stay productive.
Another benefit of this type of warm compress is that because the eyelids are open, it allows for blinking action to help pump the solidified oils out of the Meibomian glands.
⭐Helpful Tips 👀
