This is a Rare Kelly Wood Slasher hewing axe from the 1900's. I restored this antique axe by using evaporust, sandblasting and wire wheeling. I wanted to leave the natural pitting from years upon years of rust build up. For the handle I used curly maple with a walnut stringer. Let me know what you think about this restoration.
