*Correction at 08:57 the American Civil War was not the first war photographed. It was actually the Mexican/American War in 1846. Then the Crimean War in 1854-1856

The American Civil War Museum located in Richmond, Virginia is a state of the art and immersive experience. The museum chronicles this difficult time in our history starting at the beginning of the war. As you progress through the museum you see how the war evolved and the toll it took on our country.
