Paris, UGC Normandie,

UGC Normandie shone brightly on the Champs-Elysées this evening, hosting the Paris premiere of The Fall Guy as well as a special Allociné club screening. Directed by the acclaimed David Leitch and written by Drew Pearce, this action-comedy thriller is set to make a considerable impact on its worldwide release. The film's stars, Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, walked the red carpet.

The Fall Guy is set to bring back the magic of the iconic 1980s TV series created by Glen A. Larson, bringing it into the contemporary era with a captivating new script and dynamic visual execution. Under the Universal Pictures banner, in collaboration with 87North Productions and Entertainment 360, the film features the perilous adventures of Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling), a stuntman whose best days are behind him. Confronted with the disappearance of the film's lead actor, Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Colt is plunged into a deadly conspiracy that puts his skills to the test.

The Allociné club session was a celebration of the art of filmmaking. David Leitch, whose directing expertise brilliantly blends action sequences with deep storytelling, answered a few questions from Allociné journalist Maximilien Pierrette. David Leitch's vision was brought to life with the help of cinematographer Jonathan Sela and editor Elísabet Ronaldsdóttir, creating a visually captivating, tightly edited film. Complemented by Dominic Lewis' vibrant score, the film offers both high-adrenaline action and emotional depth. The session organized in parallel with the preview by the allociné club was marked by the absence of Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt present.

The ensemble cast, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Tom Ryder, Winston Duke as the reliable Dan Tucker, Stephanie Hsu as the resourceful Alma Milan and Hannah Waddingham as the redoubtable producer Gail Meyer, each add depth and intrigue to the unfolding drama, their performances enriching the film's tapestry.

As The Fall Guy prepares for worldwide release on May 1, 2024 in France and May 3 in the U.S., the enthusiasm generated by the Paris premiere is testament to the film's potential impact. This revitalization of a beloved series not only pays homage to the original, but also modernizes the story for today's audiences, offering a thrilling, action-packed cinematic experience.

As the preview drew to a close and the lights went down at the UGC Normandy, the audience was ready for a thrilling journey. The Fall Guy is more than a film, it's a celebration of cinematic bravery and creativity, a tribute to those who achieve the most daring feats on film. It's a reminder of the spirit and ingenuity that drive Hollywood's finest films.
