PUNCHLINE ENTRIES:

SHAUNA (WINNER)
The armature is waiting to be shipped out to an artist. Impatient, it decides to walk to an open box and climb in it. Just before it closes itself in the box, it takes a label out of the box and slaps it on the outside surface then disappears into the box by pulling the flap down.

This definitely would be a bigger undertaking to animate, but I’ve seen your side-by-side comparisons with other armatures/manikins, so assuming that you still have them, at least you’d be part way there! ;D

My idea is that A9 is waiting for its friends, in this case other artists’ manikins, to meet it for a prearranged dance-off. They’ll eventually arrive, one by one or some in groups, and one of the newcomers will have a portable stereo (or something to that effect). The stereo gets set down and the carrier will start dancing to music. It’ll do a routine that looks good for that specific model, and then another manikin that’s more flexible will one-up it with a better routine.

This keeps building up with each of the manikins in turn until A9 steps into front stage and shows up all of the competition by pulling out the most impressive moves that the others try to but can’t imitate. The show closes with a dramatic and impressive finale ending with the spotlight shining on A9. :D

A less-cool mannequin; it’d be pretty funny to see how smooth the A9 is for a stop-motion project, then to have a generic mannequin to come ‘skipping’ in slowly, per say, to show how great the A9 is, and how the competitors should catch up (get it? ‘cause they’re so ‘far behind’??))!
