Every since I bought my 2021 Ford Ranger XLT Sport one of the most asked questions I get is "what's the gas mileage like"? which is a fair question, but there is SO much misinformation out there and it drives me crazy. I've seen guys claiming they're getting 20+mpg towing 5,000lbs and I've seen guys saying they're getting 9mph towing 2,000lbs. This is my REAL world experience over a 1,600 mile trip that I maintained about 70-75mpg on the highway and around 40-50 on city streets, I would estimate about 1,200 of the miles were highway and a lot of them in the mountains.
