For tramming my Proxxon BFB 2000 mill/drill stand …
↓↓↓ Complete description, time index and links below ↓↓↓

I already did a video about aligning and tramming my milling stack, consisting of a Proxxon BFB 2000 mill/drill stand, a Proxxon KT 150 compound table, a Proxxon BFW 40/E spindle and Röhm 863422 machine vise (link below).

But I thought I could do better on the tramming side. So as a first step I’m going to make a collet for the 43mm spindle clamp to hold the 10mm arm of my dial gauge stand. Of course the whole thing will be made out of POM C.

00:00 Intro – more convenient and precise tramming
00:57 Dimensions – Ø 43mm x 25mm with a rim
01:43 Turning (1) – the face of the round stock
04:29 Drilling (1) – a center hole for the live center
04:42 Turning (2) – down to a diameter of 43mm
07:22 Drilling (2) – a 10mm hole for the dial gauge
08:35 Parting – off the part from the round stock
11:42 Turning (3) – the other face of the collet
12:54 Deburring – the ends of the 10mm hole
13:23 Sawing – a slot down the length
15:54 Testing – if it actually works
16:54 Wrap-up – next up is some tramming, bye
