Charleston, SC is so popular because it joins a beautiful and well-preserved historic center with outstanding cuisine and the ability to have a totally different experience when you drive 30 minutes away. That's why Charleston is also known for its beaches. In this video, you'll see our day trip to Folly Beach (the most popular beach in the Charleston area) and Sullivan's Island (a lovely quaint neighborhood and barrier island across the bay).

On Folly Beach, you'll see the beach itself (the famous pier is closed in 2021), downtown, and the Morris Island lighthouse. Then, on our way to Sullivan's Island, we take a detour to see probably the most famous tree in South Carolina: Angel Oak Tree. Finally, on Sullivan's Island, we see the beach itself, grab some lunch, then head to Fort Moultrie and end up seeing an amazing sunset.

This video is part of a road trip to Florida.

Charleston was once the richest city in the US, and it was among the largest as well. Today it lives and breathes history. It's located on the east coast of the USA and it was settled by British explorers in 1670. The best thing is that you can walk everywhere in the historical district.

► WHO AM I?

I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!

P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and he's actually camera-shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time 😉
