Metal additive manufacturing — specifically laser powder bed fusion (PBF) — routinely requires trial-and-error. In Renishaw’s QuantAM software, integration with third-party spreadsheets provides a tool for fast programming of laser PBF test builds that evaluate many laser parameter combinations at once, in search of the very best combination for a given alloy or a given part geometry.
