In some cases, the app may prompt you to download firmware updates. Some updates are only for the Wireless Valve Output Module, but some may also be for all the Wireless Valve Links. On a new system installation, it’s better to skip the update at first and proceed with all the station assignments for all devices.
After addressing – the process of assigning WVLs with the app so that they are linked with the WVL module and assigned stations - if there’s an update for Wireless Valve Links, leave them close to the controller and update the firmware on all the devices at the same time. This process can take 20 to 60 minutes, so allow sufficient time to perform this step.
Leave the Wireless Valve Links close to the controller during initial update to minimize communication difficulties and retry attempts. This allows the update to be completed in the minimum time with minimal battery life depletion.
