I started my Energy Management journey by consumption metering and its automation. But naturally, I quickly moved to finding better energy sources. And I have quickly learned that optimizing the consumption had a much bigger effect at much less cost!

I learned that when talking to a contractor who was selling a modern heating solution for my house, we reviewed my bill - and he confirmed that when I achieved is way ahead of what he could do with his solution - that is also very expensive.

And to optimize consumption, we need to understand it first - measure it. And this is not easy. recently, I came across a very clever SMART ENERGY MONITOR from ZEMISMART.

I have a number of energy monitoring devices in my house (some of them as part of the PV installation). The biggest issue have with them is, they are bulky and messy. The CTs are large, the device requires extra space in the switchboard, and there are lots of cables everywhere. Zemismart managed to integrate the IoT device inside a small CT. So it takes no extra space, it is simple and clean.

I even managed to put one INSIDE A WALL SOCKET!!!

So, let's get installed and integrated into my Home Assistant!
