This year, distinguished obstetrician, gynecologist Dr. Thanos Paraschos, completes 28 years of successful career in the field of in vitro fertilization. His successful career could be predicted since his early steps in 1989, when he took part in the team that performed the world’s first preimplantation genetic diagnosis alongside Professor Robert Winston at Hammersmith Hospital of London. In 1993 -1995 Dr Paraschos was curator A' under Robert Winston. Alongside his team he gave the solution to embryo transfers that were experiencing difficulty due to anatomical abnormalities, by designing the rigid Wallace catheter.
