Gambit, the card-slinging X-Man, has a surprisingly sparse on-screen history. His iconic debut was in X-Men: The Animated Series, followed by cameos in other Marvel shows. Later appearances in X-Men Evolution and Wolverine and the X-Men saw him take a villainous turn.

Gambit's only live-action role was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (played by Taylor Kitsch). Fans still dream of what could have been with Channing Tatum. Will we ever see more of Gambit on the big screen, or was his heroic sacrifice in X-Men '97 his final farewell?
