I get asked by founders about tips for fundraising, or to share my fundraising experience. I’ve already made some videos about fundraising; talking about my experience, providing an overview of the process, sharing my pitching tips, and explaining the difference between angels and VCs, so check those videos out if you haven’t already.
Now, normally I’m a person who tries not to live with regret, but there are definitely some things that I could’ve done that’d have made my fundraising experience a little less painful.
Here are the 6 things I'd do differently:
Chapters
00:00 Intro
00:39 Make a list of target investors
02:21 More cold emailing
03:14 Meet with angel investors first
03:57 Do thorough research on investors
04:28 Prioritise optics
07:46 Be more aggressive
10:31 Outro
