I got to take a quick hands-on look with the new Gigabyte Aorus 16X at CES 2024. This new design may be an all-plastic chassis, but the way the light plays with the colors, and how rigid it feels, it could be a good all-rounder, depending on the price and sales. With a change to a 16:10 16" FHD+ 165Hz Display, this feels much more of a modern design with some premium features like Windows Hello and a glass trackpad. There is a new projector on the back that shines "Auros" on the table behind the laptop but I could not get it to work unfortunately. The other design decisions are a little more questionable though, including the transparent keys on the keyboard.
