This week I'm crafting a motorcycle style leather dust mask. The intent of this mask is strictly for minimizing the airborne leather dust debris in my shop. This is not a medical or construction rated respirator, but was designed to be a fun project that both looked cool and lowered the possible dust debris I would potentially be inhaling while sanding my leather goods.

Please consult the fda.gov and/or the cdc.gov websites to learn more about proper qualification requirements for masks and respirators.

EDIT Vent holes were cut by using a rotary hole punch at each end of the shape and then a knife to cut and connect the holes. Here is the tool used:
