ANAHEIM: On 04-12-21 at approximately 12:23pm, Anaheim firefighters responded to a reported structure fire in the 2100 block of E Sycamore Street. Units arrived to find heavy smoke and fire showing. A third alarm response was requested. Units quickly began attacking the fire. There was reports that there was a possibly trapped victim. Firefighters were not able to make entry into the home due to heavy pack rat conditions that were chest level high. Due to the heavy fire involvement, firefighters got off the roof and went into a defensive posture. Soon after the roof collapsed. It took firefighters over an hour to extinguish the fire. There is no information on any found victims. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
