Announcements always seem to take place in a field with Jonny perched on the back of a car, and this one is no exception. The Late Brake Show begins 2021 with some exceptionally exciting news, with two British brands partnering a pair of the channel's playlists.

Somerset based Haynes will be supporting Jonny's Late Brake project car playlist, where episodes on builds/mods like his Austin Allegro V6 sleeper, '68 Dodge Charger, Nissan Figaro, 1967 VW Beetle, Suzuki Jimny and Chevrolet Impala lowrider live. The JDM Nissan Cedric Tokyo taxi he is leaning on in this video will also join the project fleet for an episode shortly. Haynes is launching a swathe of new practical products this year, and TLBS will be sure to reveal them when the time comes.

EBC Brakes, purveyors of pads, discs and other quality slowing-down paraphanalia based in Northampton, will be supporting a new playlist for 2021 called Car Caves. Car Caves will be episodes where Jonny visits car collections in interesting garages, or people's sheds with an interesting variety of vehicles. This is where TLBS can get under the skin of why people drive/ride what they do, and what turns people on about hoarding automotive stuff in sheds. We have every faith that Car Caves is going to become an addictive playlist. It could be like Grand Designs, but without Kevin turning up every month to criticise the choice of roof slates.
