The hamstring nordic curl is a great bodyweight exercise that primarily targets the hamstrings and other synergistic muscles during the eccentric phase.
In this exercise, the difficulty level increases the closer you get to the ground, and so does the torque of the knee flexors.
It is also used to prevent sports injuries due to its eccentric component.

⚠️ If you haven't tried it before, know that it's an advanced exercise due to the effort of maintaining a neutral position on the way down.
Most of the trainees struggle to lower their bodies with control during the second half of this exercise.
đź’ˇ So what can you do?
Try using a band to help you through the mid-end descent phase.
Gradually decrease the help of the resistance band by making it looser or changing types of bands.
It is recommended to perform this exercise on a soft mat and check the strength of the rubber band before performing the exercise.
