The 6pm news announcement, with The Princess of Wales, sitting on a bench, surrounded with a serene springtime beauty of sunny daffodils, still did not manage to soften the blow. Catherine, Princess of Wales is receiving treatment for cancer. That is the shocking reality, that as Catherine's video and words were screened around the World, that left many of us in shock, myself included.
I am certain that there are many people do in fact now feel remorseful for their actions and treatment of her, in the last few months. Some have had the decency to apologise, while others have just quietly (cowardly) deleted their offensive posts in hope that the public will forget. As Harry and Meghan have found out, that is not going to happen anytime soon.

What is sad, that it took for Catherine to announce that she had cancer, for people to finally back off. A serious operation with three months recovery, requesting privacy for her and their young family, was not enough for some of these so called reporters and TV personalities to stop. It should not have ever come to that.

I hope that lessons have been learned, but I am not hopeful for everyone.
