One early morning in November I had the chance to fly my drone over this majestic and spiritful place. I was there with my group for a weekend living in the reconstructed houses and recording a video about fighting and feasting:

But the morning after was so beautiful and I sent up my little eye in the sky for a small half hour or so to capture the splendor and magnificence of this place.

Ribe Viking Center is a reconstructed viking world with very precise recreations of towns, market place, harbour, workshops, farm, longhouse, church and much more based very accurately on archaeological finds from the viking age from this exact location in the south of Denmark. It opens for turist and becomes a huge living history museum in from end of April to October. Here it's full of live, reenactors, historical events, educational courses and much more. But in the dark months of winter its closed down and very peaceful and almost mythically asleep. And this I got to capture in this video.

The place is a lot bigger than what you see here, but this is where I was allowed to fly the drone. Parts are being reconstructed, A ringfortress is being build, and there is live stock that I don't want to disturb. You need to go and see this place with your own eyes.

The music is recorded by me and is an interpretation of a traditional russian tune called "The Bear Wakens".
