Hi! It's Lois here, today's demo looks at painting Storm clouds and a 'Something And Nothing' foreground in this loose watercolour landscape, with a stormy sky blowing in over the river. I'm not worried about keeping things perfect, but trying to suggest detail and looking for atmosphere, and light and shadow.

I'm using Saunders Waterford cold pressed paper, 11" x 15"/28cms x 38cms, but use whichever size you prefer. I tell you the colours and brushes as I paint, but please feel free to use any similar or ones that you prefer.
The focus is on painting loose, concentrating on staying loose and getting light and shadow aceoss the landscape, with the sweeping path and mid ground tree.
