It was reported that Mean Girls (2024) and Wonka were not marketed as musicals because 'test-audience focus groups generally hate musicals and the only way to get people into the theatre with one is to trick [them]...' AND I TOOK THAT PERSONALLY!
I did little to no research for this video because I already had a back catalogue of trivia about movie musicals floating around in my brain and that Deadline quote was so asinine that I let the floodgates open of PURE, VISCERAL ID and this is the result of that.
