No jointer, no planer, no problem. I used my table saw to dimension the rough lumber for this bird cage. Then I made a jig for the table saw to make a cove molding. With a little woodworking ingenuity you can accomplish any project at home. My daughter Riley has been wanting a bigger bird cage for her parakeets so I had to put off the chicken coop build for the Guineas. I used an old table we bought off Facebook for the base of this bird cage. We used eco-friendly paints and stains to make sure it was bird safe. The Mahogany wood used in this DIY project is also parrot safe. All the metal used had to be stainless steel or aluminum as well.
