"Between a man and a woman there is no possible friendship. There is love, hatred, adoration, passion, but no friendship" — once said Oscar Wilde. And he only said it because he was convinced that friendship implies equality. Pythagoras thought the same: “Friends have everything in common, and friendship is equality. That is something that cannot exist between a man and a woman, let alone between a husband and a wife.”
There is another important point: men do not understand the word "friendship" in the same way as women do. Male friendship is "shoulder to shoulder" and female friendship is "face to face". Male friends are united by common issues, problems, interests, and worldview. Women are attracted to similar emotions and thoughts.
