VISTA: At around 6:00 pm CHP received reports for a VEH VS PED on the EB-78 east of Mar Vista, CHP Requested Vista Sheriff for help, on arrival first responders located 2 children who had been struck by a vehicle, Both children were pronounced deceased on scene, The mother of the children had stopped on the shoulder after a suitcase fell off the car, while trying to retrieve the suitcase 2 children who were in the vehicle ran out into lanes and were fatally struck, The mother was placed under arrest on unknown charges, there is no additional information at this time.
