In this video I talk about getting your first 100 sales on Etsy in 2023. Etsy as a marketplace hasn't really changed. It's still just as possible to get your first 100 sales fairly easily, and the best part is you don't have to pay for marketing! Here's how:

First: You'll need to have a customer perspective. When you're thinking about your store, does it look promising, or does it look like a ghost town? Having poor product images and only a few products will mean potential customers are going to run from your Etsy shop. The goal is to give the impression that you're an established business, and just getting started selling on Etsy.
Like if you're "established somewhere else online", and just getting started on Etsy, that's a completely different vibe from being completely new to selling online at all.

Second: You've got to let the sales come to you. When you're desperately looking to get a quick sale, it totally comes across in your listings and your shop. I would focus on making a super good looking Etsy shop with lots of great products (establish a catalog) before running a bunch of ads and making posts on Facebook and Instagram. Try to drive organic traffic. It's only $0.20 for a listing fee, so take advantage of the millions of daily customers that are ready to buy, and just provide good products for them. The customers come to Etsy ready to shop!

Third: Always follow the 3 basics - Keywords - Images - Customer Service. If you work on these three things specifically, even with everything else forgotten, you'll be successful.

1. Keywords on Etsy are super easy to find and they'll drive the traffic for you. (Especially when you're posting 20+ listings!) Having more good listings with great keywords will drive traffic to your listings that eventually convert. Remember, millions of people come to Etsy every single day.

2. Images are the brand, marketing, and most importantly the first impression potential customers have of your shop. The keywords get you in front of people, the images convince them to buy. These two things alone drive the sales. (the more listings you're posting the better you get at understanding listing images)

3. Customer Service will take care of its self if you're just treating every customer how you would like to be treated. Respond to customers quickly - handle issues - and make any problems with their orders right (don't just take their money and run). Go above and beyond and you'll get the first few reviews right away which will add to your social proof, driving more and more sales, which will get you your first 100 sales and far beyond.

I hope this helps! Leave feedback in the comments, and let me know what I should talk about next!
