A pod of approx 8-10 bottlenose dolphins swimming close inshore just off West Runton on the North Norfolk Coast of England, UK.
They approached the rib originally off Blakeney and then followed them for an hour to Cley before then rejoining the boat for another 45 minutes off West Runton. It's very rare to see bottlenose dolphins this far down the East coast in the North Sea. They may have been passing through or they may be following the huge numbers of mackerel we have seen off the coast here this year.
(Sad that I have to point this out but some people really don't understand animal behaviour but the boat was NOT chasing the dolphins about, it was quite the opposite - the dolphins were attracted to the boat and followed it very closely for over an hour and half).
