Good Shepherd – Vocations Sunday 2024
 
“Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest”.  Luke 10:2
 
Today, Good Shepherd Sunday brings to a grand finale a year of prayer in Ireland for Vocations to Diocesan Priesthood: “Take the Risk for Christ”.
 
We have been diligently praying for open hearts to follow the call to minister as diocesan priests in our parishes and pastoral areas.
 
The theme this year chosen by Pope Francis for Good Shepherd Sunday is “Called to sow seeds of hope and build peace”.
 
May many respond to that call, building hope and peace in the mission of radiating Christ, the risen Lord to the world.  Amen!
