The National Finals for the Department of Energy (DOE) National Science Bowl® took place between Thursday, April 27th and Monday, May 1st 2023 in Washington, D.C.

From January through March of 2023, regional elimination tournaments involving more than 10,000 middle and high school students, were held across the country. More than 550 students from 44 states, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands are participating in the National Finals this year.

During each academic competition, teams of young scholars engaged in a rapid question-answer series, addressing questions from across multiple science and math disciplines.
