Learn how to connect a mini video transmitter to a mini camera. The small transmitter shown is ideal for an FPV racing quad, but can also be used for other rc needs such as planes and cars/trucks. The camera used is a common size that fits/mounts into most quad copter drones, and is referred to as an HS1177 camera. The video signal operates at 5.8 GHz with a power output of 200mW. There are other power output options, including 25mW and 600mW, with the higher output providing a longer range for reception. The FPV goggles shown, has a built-in receiver, but a stand-alone receiver can also be used for the set up of a ground station, operating at the same frequency and same channel, and connected to a video monitor.
