In this video I will go over the symptoms of a bad Evap ( Evaporative Emission) Vent Valve / Solenoid, and also how it works plus how you can easily diagnose it without a scanner. Plus here is a list of codes that could be as a result of a bad Evap vent solenoid and cause you to have a check engine light:

P0440 - General Fault in the Evap System
P0446 - Evap System Vent Control Circuit Malfunction
P0447 - Evap System Vent Valve / Solenoid Circuit Open
P0448 - Evap System Vent Valve / Solenoid Circuit Shorted
P0449 - Evap System Vent Valve / Solenoid Circuit Malfunction
P0455 - Evap System Large Leak Detected
P0456 - Evap System Small Leak Detected
