Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari's opera "The Jewels of the Madonna" is a Neapolitan love-triangle melodrama which had its first performance in 1911. From the opera's 4-movement Suite we hear the charming 'Serenata' played by the Royal Philharmonic under conductor José Serebrier. (An 'ASV Digital' CD.)
