The Toyota Highlander Hybrid receives some modest upgrades to keep it competitive against the class leading Kia Telluride and all new Honda Pilot, but its biggest selling point is still the hybrid powertrain. We took the Highlander Hybrid on a volleyball road trip to North Carolina, and the fuel economy was exceptional, unlike anything you can get from its competition. With the introduction of the new Toyota Grand Highlander, it will be interesting to see what happens to the regular Toyota Highlander, but one thing is for certain: aside from its looks, the Toyota Highlander Hybrid (specifically) remains one of the best options in the family three-row SUV class.
